This year’s Open Source Conference will bring together representatives from Luxembourg, the EU, public institutions, organisations, and OSPOs to share their experiences, projects, and ideas.

The event is an opportunity to discover planned, ongoing, and completed Open Source initiatives, and to connect with those who have already navigated the challenges of implementation.

SnT will also be represented among the speakers. Jacek Plucinski will present “University OSPO – is it needed and how to start?”. In his talk, he will share insights from setting up an internal task force to support researchers with free and open-source software (FOSS). He will explore whether an OSPO is needed in a university research centre, how the initiative began, what it looks like today, and the benefits it brings.

The conference welcomes participants already engaged in Open Source, as well as decision-makers and policy leaders interested in making digital infrastructures more secure, resilient, and aligned with Europe’s vision for digital sovereignty.
