We are pleased to announce the publication of a new article by EINT researchers Mirko Hirschmann and Christian Fisch (University of Luxembourg, SnT), together with Steffen Farny (Leuphana University).
Their paper, titled “An attention-based perspective on how climate impact affects opportunity entrepreneurship”, has been published in the journal Small Business Economics.
Overview: The study examines how climate-related losses—such as floods, storms, or droughts—affect individuals’ likelihood to pursue opportunity-driven entrepreneurship. Building on the attention-based view (ABV) and socio-cognitive theory (SCT), the authors show that climate impact shifts individuals’ attention and prompts entrepreneurial action.
