On December 6, 2023, the Doctoral School of Economics, Finance, and Management (DSEFM) orchestrated a warm welcome breakfast, designed to provide precious insights into its doctoral program.
This gathering proved to be a significant opportunity for the 30 participating students, offering them a comprehensive overview of their rights and responsibilities within the PhD program as well as general valuable information. Beyond the informative aspects, the event fostered a sense of community via the organization of a few games, providing a relaxed setting for students to get to know each other’s, share experiences, and engage in meaningful exchanges.
Pierre Picard, the Head of the Doctoral School and Director of the Doctoral Program in Economics and Management Sciences, spearheaded the event. Benjamin Holcblat, Director of the Doctoral Program in Finance, lent his expertise to the occasion. The event has been organized thanks to the help of the two DSEFM student representatives, Aleksa Uljarevic and Elizaveta Nekrasova, as well as Ksenia Usanova, the representative of Postdocs and PhD students on the Department of Economics and Management level.
This annual welcome breakfast not only serves as a platform for disseminating crucial information but also cultivates a sense of camaraderie among the doctoral community, setting a positive tone for the academic journey that lies ahead.
