On March 21st, we were happy to welcome Prof. Joan Llull from Barcelona School of Economics.
In the framework of our lecture series about Cross-Border Labor Mobility, Prof. Llull gave a detailed lecture about “Dynamic Labor Market Equilibrium Models of Immigration”.
His lecture focused on dynamic labor market equilibrium models of immigration, emphasizing insights into structural modeling. The lecture delved into dynamic discrete choice models, wherein individuals factor in the consequences of today’s decisions on future outcomes. Specifically, the lecture highlighted applications of such models in understanding equilibrium dynamics in immigration and human capital formation, drawing on Llull’s work from 2018.
This lecture series is organized by Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) & University of Luxembourg, in the framework of the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR) funded project: #ACROSS.
Next lecture will feature Prof. Dr. Toman Barsbai from University of Bristol on April 18th about “Experimental Approaches in Migration and Development”.
Registration is free but mandatory by email to: noemie.courtois@uni.lu
