Prof. Dr Michael Kramer is an internationally renowned astrophysicist and a leading expert in radio astronomy and pulsar research. His work has made fundamental contributions to precision tests of general relativity and to our understanding of neutron stars and extreme astrophysical environments. He is currently Director of the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy in Bonn, Germany, one of the world’s foremost research centers in astrophysics. In addition, he serves as Professor of Astrophysics at the University of Manchester (UK) and Honorary Professor at the University of Bonn (Germany). Prof. Kramer has played a central role in major international research projects and large-scale radio telescope collaborations. Widely recognized for both his scientific excellence and his commitment to education and outreach, he continues to shape the future of modern radio astronomy through leadership, research, and mentorship.
