Doctoral Education Doctoral School of Law

DSL training programme

General skills and methods courses are combined with specific training in legal topics, including themes attached to externally funded research programmes on doctoral education. In addition to the creation of a stimulating research environment among doctoral researchers through its own activities, the Doctoral School in Law favors mobility and supports participation in conferences and academic events at other academic institutions.
Doctoral researchers in Law can follow training sessions and courses offered by the Doctoral School and by the Central University, as well as participate in activities and courses organized by the Max Planck Institute in the framework of a cooperation agreement between the Institute and the University.
In conducting their individual research projects, the candidates are assisted not only by their supervisor but also by a thesis supervision committee that meets on a yearly basis. These yearly discussions help in formulating and implementing the Research and Training Plan and in developing critical thinking and research independence.
