While management has long been about planning, organizing, leading, coordinating, and controlling, the world has changed and with it the scope of management. Complex and turbulent environments have become the norm. Innovation disrupts routines, destroys competences and brings about formidable opportunities and challenges.

Understanding the globalized economy, contributing to society, creating and managing company and stakeholder value in ways that are at once responsible and sustainable have never been more important. Management must consider business and society from a perspective that is critical, ethical, and interdisciplinary.
