Overview
The Schuman collection comprises around 15,000 books on the topics of international relations and European integration history. The collection of the “Robert Schuman Centre for European Research” (CERE) was previously located at the “Robert Schuman House“. The collection was moved to the LLC in summer 2021.
In 1985, the Luxembourg government acquired Robert Schuman’s birthplace, known as the Robert Schuman House. The Robert Schuman Centre for European Research (CERE) was established at the Robert Schuman House in 1990 to conduct research on the European integration process and investigate Luxembourg’s role in this process.
In 2016, the CERE became part of the University of Luxembourg and since then the University of Luxembourg has been responsible for the conservation of the Robert Schuman House and the archive collections stored there. In summer 2021 the Schuman collection was moved to the LLC.
