Behind the French-Luxembourgish company Eddi van Tsui we find three artists who create for both the living spectacle and the visual arts: Sandy Flinto, set designer and sculptor, Pierrick Grobéty, composer and musician, and Daniel Marinangeli, author and dramaturge.
During a seven-week research residency in 2023 at the University of Luxembourg on Belval campus, in the Arche and in the Bridderhaus, the artists further developed their project “Terre d’origine”. This project initially brought together samples of soils and their stories from 60 different countries.
In the second phase of the project, in the framework of an artistic research residency at the University of Luxembourg and at other venues, the artists explore the way in which new technologies create images and narratives. During their various residencies, they experienced scientific encounters and different approaches to their collection of soil from all parts of the world through text, sound and images.
