The Embassy of Portugal in Luxembourg and the Portuguese Cultural Centre-Camões, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of April 25, 1974, are organizing a conference-debate. The event will be moderated by Régis Moes, curator of the contemporary history section at the National Museum of Archaeology, History, and Art of Luxembourg.
The interpretation of one of the most decisive events in the history of Portugal, from its origins to the outcomes and repercussions in the geostrategic context of Portugal, Europe, and Africa at the end of the 20th century. The democratic transition, the end of the empire, and the uniqueness of an explosion of revolution through distinct historical perspectives interpreted by renowned Portuguese historians, Fernando Rosas and Jaime Nogueira Pinto.
The event will take place at Cercle Cité on April 23rd at 6:30 pm and is open to the attendance and participation of all interested individuals, subject to availability.
Presentations will be made in Portuguese and French, with simultaneous interpretation.
