You will receive an e-mail at the beginning of the semester to inform you about the launch of the programme. You can then register for the class(es) you are interested in on a weekly basis via Affluences (always max. 7 days in advance).
Log in to Affluences or use the Affluences app installed on your smartphone (Available on the App Store or Google Play).
- In the menu, select Student Services
- Choose your class and the date/time.
- Enter your University email address (firstname.lastname.00X@student.uni.lu for students, NOT numbers@uni.lu, or firstname.lastname@uni.lu for staff).
- Don’t forget to confirm your booking via the link received by email.
You can avoid this last step for future reservations by clicking on “remember me” during the confirmation step.
For AquaSud and Hariko’s classes, you can book an appointment / a workshop online via the Aquasud website or Hariko’s facebook site.
For CEPA ASBL, check the website and inquire directly with them if there any spots left for uni.lu members
For Streetsports registration, check their website or call the following number: +352 621 219 416
Do I have to use my student or staff e-mail address?
To allow us an overview of the participants and not to over-saturate classes, only students and staff can participate in classes. In order to identify you as a student or staff, please only use your student or staff e-mail address.
Any registrations with other e-mail addresses will not be possible.
I did not receive the e-mail at the beginning of the semester. What should I do?
All classes can be booked via Affluences/ AquaSud / Cepa.lu / Hariko (see above).
Is it possible to cancel/modify my registration?
Yes, you can. Simply deregister via Affluences; the link is in the confirmation e-mail you received.
How many activities can I register for?
You can register for one or several activities, according to availability.
What do I do if I have not received a confirmation e-mail?
Then your registration is not complete. Common problems are:
- Check your SPAM inbox
- A mistake in your e-mail address when registering. For students, a common mistake is: your e-mail-address is “firstname.lastname.index@student.uni.lu” , NOT “number@uni.lu” (this is your username).
- Other? Please contact campus.sport@uni.lu; campus.art@uni.lu or campus.well-being@uni.lu
How will I receive the link for the online classes?
The link will be sent automatically to your e-mail-address after you have confirmed your spot via Affluences. Do not share the registration links outside of the University Community! (to avoid over-saturating the classes)
Do I have to turn on my camera to attend?
By default, the camera is turned on. You can however turn it off before joining the meeting.
The camera however allows the instructor to help you out by letting you know if you are doing a wrong movement for example.
Will the other users see me?
If you turn on your camera, yes, other users will see you.
Will my name be visible to other users?
Yes but you can change the name that is visible during the meeting
Do I have to turn on the microphone?
By default, all participants’ microphones will be turned off. If necessary, you can turn it on manually. We however recommend leaving it off most of the time, in order to avoid background noises for all users.
What do I do if I have a technical issue with the online classes?
Please contact campus.sport@uni.lu; campus.art@uni.lu or campus.well-being@uni.lu
No, you do not have to attend all sessions of a class. You are free to attend when you can / want. However, for some art classes, which build upon acquired knowledge (e.g. sketching or porcelain jewellery), we strongly advise you to attend all sessions. If you booked a session, please cancel your reservation so that another user can take your spot.
The classes take place during the academic semester and will be run from 2 October 2023 to 26 January 2024.
Are there any sessions during holidays or on public holidays?
There are no classes during University breaks nor on public holidays: no classes are scheduled from 25 December 2023 to 5 January 2024.
Your Affluences confirmation e-mail will also contain the link (hybrid classes) / specify the location (in-person).
Can I use one of Campus Sport‘s infrastructures for a personal purpose / workout during free time slots?
This is not possible for safety and organisational reasons.
Are there any showers / lockers available for students / staff?
Showers and lockers are available at the Maison du Savoir (MSA) tower for staff (level 1) and in the Maison des Arts et des Etudiants (MAE) for students (level 5).
The showers on Campus Kirchberg are situated in the JFK building (basement)
