Can I bring a guest?

The Espace Cultures programmes (Campus Art) are open to regular University of Luxembourg students and staff only. Occasionally, workshops and activities will be open to public as well.

The Hariko art classes offer is open to any Uni.lu student or staff up to 30 years of age.

Cepa.lu classes are open for every student and staff member (limited spaces; 50% off).

I have a disability. Can I join anyway?

The Espace Cultures programme is open to all students and staff members. Feel free to contact the Espace Cultures team if you wish to receive personalised support.

All offers from the Espace Cultures programme are free of charge!

In the case of Cepa ASBL courses, you just pay half price if you get a spot.

The only thing that is required of people who have signed up for courses is that they honour their commitment.

You can register for the activities you are interested in via Eventbrite. If an event is co-organized with another service, you will be notified and the registration modalities will be clarified specifically, if needed.

You will need to create an account for the first time on Eventbrite. An Eventbrite application is also available for mobile phones and tablets on App Store and Google Play.

  • Access the workshop’s Eventbrite website or application,
  • sign up on the website in case you do not have an account,
  • select the first date for the workshop,
  • click on “reserve a spot”,
  • add the information required for registration – name, and your university email address (firstname.lastname.00X@student.uni.lu for students, NOT numbers@uni.lu, or firstname.lastname@uni.lu for staff).
  • click on “register”
  • repeat the process for the other dates of the workshop.

For Hariko’s classes, you can book an appointment/a workshop online via the Hariko’s facebook site.

For CEPA ASBL, check the website and inquire directly with them if there any spots left for uni.lu members.

If you are interested in joining the University choir, please contact them directly at choirunilux@gmail.com.

Yes, this is recommended because missing sessions may not achieve the course objective.

Yes, you can. Simply deregister via Eventbrite; the link is in the confirmation e-mail you received.

You can register for one or several activities, according to availability.

Then your registration is not complete. Common problems are:

1.            Check your SPAM inbox.

2.            A mistake in your e-mail address when registering. For students, a common mistake is: your e-mail-address is “firstname.lastname.index@student.uni.lu”, NOT “number@uni.lu” (this is your username).

3.            Other? Please contact espace.cultures@uni.lu. 

The activities take place during the academic semesters.

There are no classes during University breaks or on public holidays.

If the sessions are fully booked, you should see a “waitlist” option on Eventbrite. If you register for the waiting list and a spot opens up due to cancellations, you will be notified so that you can register.

Can I bring a guest?

The Campus Life programmes are open to regular University of Luxembourg students and staff only.
The Aquasud offer is only for students (including PhD students).

Streetsport classes are free of chare and open only to students.

I have a disability. Can I join anyway?

The Campus Life programme is open to all students and staff members. Feel free to contact the Campus Life team if you wish to receive personalised support.

All Campus Life activities are free of charge!

The classes take place from 7 October to 31 January 2025.
There are no classes for winter break from 23 December to 5 January nor on public holidays.

You will receive an email at the beginning of the semester to inform you about the launch of the programme. You can then register for the class(es) you are interested in on a weekly basis via Affluences (no more than 7 days in advance).

Log in to Affluences or use the Affluences app installed on your smartphone (available on the App Store or Google Play).

  • In the menu, select Student Services
  • Choose your class and the date/time.
  • Enter your University email address (firstname.lastname.00X@student.uni.lu for students, NOT numbers@uni.lu, or firstname.lastname@uni.lu for staff).
  • Don’t forget to confirm your booking via the link received by email.

You can avoid this last step for future reservations by clicking on “remember me” during the confirmation step.

For Aquasud, please consult the opening hours on the Aquasud website.

Do I have to use my student or staff e-mail address?

To give us an overview of participants and ensure that classes do not get too full, they are only open to students and staff. To identify you as a student or staff member, please only use your student or staff email address.

You will not be able to register with another email addresses.

I did not receive the email at the beginning of the semester. What should I do?

All classes can be booked via Affluences.

Is it possible to cancel/modify my registration?

Yes, you cancel your registration via Affluences; the link is in the confirmation email you received.

How many activities can I register for?

You can register for one or more activities, depending on availability.

What do I do if I have not received a confirmation email?

If you have not receive a confirmation email, your registration is not complete.
Common problems are:

  1. The email has gone into your spam folder
  2. There was a mistake in the email address used to register. For students, make sure you use the email address “firstname.lastname.index@student.uni.lu” , NOT “number@uni.lu” (this is your username).
  3. Other? Please contact osl@uni.lu

How will I receive the link for the online classes?

The link will be sent automatically to your email address after you have confirmed your spot via Affluences. Please do not share the registration links outside the University community (to avoid classes becoming too full)!

Do I have to turn on my camera to attend?

By default, your camera is turned on. You can however turn it off before joining the meeting.

But the camera can be useful; for example it allows the instructor to help you out by letting you know if you are not doing a movement correctly.

Will the other users see me?

If you turn on your camera, yes, other users will see you.

Will my name be visible to other users?

Yes but you can change the name that is visible during the meeting

Do I have to turn on the microphone?

By default, all participants’ microphones will be turned off. If necessary, you can turn it on manually, but we do however recommend leaving it off most of the time in order to avoid background noise for all users.

What do I do if I have a technical issue with the online classes?

Please contact osl@uni.lu

No, you do not have to attend all the sessions of your course. You are free to attend when you can/want. If you are unable to attend a session that you have registered for, please cancel your registration so that another user can take your spot.

Are there any sessions during holidays or on public holidays?

There are no classes during University breaks or on public holidays.

Your Affluences confirmation email will contain a link (for hybrid classes) or details about the location (for in-person classes).

Can I use Campus Sport‘s facilities for my own personal purpose or for a workout during free time slots?

This is not possible for safety and organisational reasons.

Are there any showers/lockers available for students/staff?

Showers and lockers are available in the Maison du Savoir (MSA) tower for staff (floor 1) and in the Maison des Arts et des Étudiants (MAE) for students (floor 5).

On Kirchberg Campus there are showers in the lower ground floor of the JFK building.
