The Printemps des Poètes – Luxembourg and the Association Victor Hugo are pleased to invite you to a meeting with Jean-Pierre Siméon
Siméon, the poet, novelist and playwright will have an exchange with Jérôme Quiqueret: historian, journalist and author.
The conversation will be followed by a reading.
Jean-Pierre Siméon is the author of over 80 books—poetry collections, novels, children’s books, plays, essays—that have earned him numerous awards, including the Apollinaire Prize (which he has presided over since 2014), the Max Jacob Prize, the Grand Prix de Poésie of the French Academy, and this year’s Golden Wreath of the Struga Poetry Evenings (Macedonia). His latest collection, Avenirs, has just been published by Gallimard.
He has long been a teacher, worked for the theater, created the Poetry Week in Clermont-Ferrand, served as the artistic director of the Printemps des Poètes for 16 years, and since January 2018, has been the director of the Poésie/Gallimard collection. He is the sponsor of the Printemps des Poètes – Luxembourg.
Jean-Pierre Siméon will be interviewed by Jérôme Quiqueret, a historian, journalist, and author, recipient of the 2023 Servais Prize, and will offer a reading of his texts.
