His research spans biomedical informatics, focusing on data integration and knowledge management, data curation, harmonisation and FAIRification, dynamic visual analytics, text mining, and deep learning, advanced machine learning and AI to bridge bench-to-bedside gaps. Since 2016, he has been the technical coordinator of the ELIXIR Luxembourg Node, leading data hub development and ensuring GDPR-compliant clinical data sustainability. He has delivered 25+ invited talks worldwide, published 94+ peer-reviewed articles, and serves on editorial boards of major journals. Over 12 years, he (co-)supervised 10 Master, 7 PhD students, 21 Postdocs, and multiple R&D specialists and developers.
