Join the next lecture of the LCSB on Tour series in Alzingen (Hesperange) to find out more about the latest research into organic compounds, including pharmaceuticals, pesticides, the so called ‘forever chemicals’ (PFAS) and processed goods.

The mixture of chemicals to which we are exposed is incredibly complex, making it difficult to understand how they affect us. In her lecture, researcher Prof. Emma Schymanski, head of the “Environmental Cheminformatics” group at the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine, explains how she and her team are like detectives, searching for unknown chemicals in our environment and bodies to better understand their potential role in disease development.

The lecture will be given in German  with simultaneous translation in French. Registration is recommended, especially if you would like the translation (you can indicate so in the registration form).

19.00 – 20.00: Lecture and Q&A
