After six successful editions, the Forum, hosted under the auspices of the Luxembourg Centre for European Law, continues to cement its reputation as a key event where scholars, practitioners, and public officials convene to discuss emerging trends in litigating EU law before the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU).

The Court’s case law evolves continuously through the decisions and opinions of the Kirchberg Judges and Advocates General, influencing a broad spectrum of legal domains.

This year’s edition of the Forum will spotlight some of the most compelling areas of litigation in which the Court has set thought-provoking milestones over the past judicial year—ranging from sanctions and their role in the current geopolitical landscape to the principle of direct effect, from the long-debated EU accession to the ECHR to sports-related legal disputes.

Bringing together experts from diverse backgrounds, the Forum offers a singular opportunity to engage in discussions on these key legal developments, placing them within the broader context of the Court’s evolving role.
