The conference intends to bring together scholars from Europe and beyond, senior members of the judiciary, and representatives of EU institutions to assess the scope, relevance, and effectiveness of EU law.

The objective is to explore the extent to which EU law is capable of addressing effectively the challenges faced by European society. This entails a discussion of two inter-related themes. First, whether EU law addresses the issues that should be addressed (the universe and scope of EU law) and secondly, where an EU legal framework exists, whether it is effective and how it can be improved (effectiveness). These two themes will be examined from different perspectives.

The full programme and access to registration will be made available soon.
