The AMF (Autorité des Marchés Financiers) is an independent French public authority responsible for ensuring that savings invested in financial products are protected, providing investors with adequate information and supervising the orderly operation of markets.
On July 10th, 2023, the AMF set up a Scientific Advisory Board composed of 18 prominent figures from the academic and financial worlds to expand its research and strategic intelligence capabilities. All elected Members hold positions in leading universities, business schools and public and private research centres.
Prof. Laurent Barras, professor in Asset Management at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance of the University of Luxembourg was appointed by the AMF Board as one of the Scientific Advisory Board Members.
The board presents its work at an annual conference attended by members of the academic and market communities and has a triple remit.
