Doctoral lecture series on Cross-Border Labor Mobility 2023/2024
Our annual lecture series on migration continues with the addresses of renowned international migration experts! During this winter semester, we are proud to welcome:
- Prof. Sandra Sequeira from The London School of Economics on November 16 on the topic of “Economics of Forced Displacement and Socioeconomic Integration”
- Prof. Klaus Desmet from Southern Methodist University in Dallas on December 19 on the topic of “Identity, Culture and Politics”
- Prof. Anna Maria Mayda from Georgetown University on January 19 on the topic of “Fiscal Impact of Immigration: Empirical Evidence at the Local Level”
- Prof. Mariapia Mendola from Università degli Studi di Milano Bicocca on February 22 on the topic of “Immigration Attitudes, Intergroup Contact and Perspective-taking”
Each speaker will provide a state-of-the-art analysis of existing methodologies and academic findings in his field of expertise.
In 2024, we will be very lucky to welcome: Joan Llull from the Barcelona School of Economics, Toman Barsbai from the University of Bristol, Diego Puga from the CEMFI, and Stelios Michalopoulos from Brown University.
This lecture series is organised by Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) & University of Luxembourg, in the framework of Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Luxembourg funded projects: #ACROSS.
