On 3 July 2025, we were delighted to welcome Prof. Francisca Antman from the University of Colorado.

As part of our lecture series on Cross-Border Labor Mobility, Prof. Antman delivered an insightful lecture on “Assimilation and Integration of Hispanic Immigrants and Their Descendants”.

The lecture examined critical issues related to Hispanic immigrants in the United States and their descendants. It provided an overview of convergence patterns in economic outcomes across U.S. demographic groups, as well as across generations of Hispanic immigrants. Particular attention was given to measurement challenges arising from racial and ethnic self-identification, and to the role of immigration policies.

This lecture series is organized by Luxembourg Institute of Socio-Economic Research (LISER) and the Doctoral School in Economics, Finance and Management at the University of Luxembourg, in the framework of the Fonds National de la Recherche (FNR), Luxembourg funded project ACROSS and financing scheme RESCOM.

An event supported by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) (PRIDE19/14302992) and (RESCOM/2024/LE/18786706)
