Luca Ratti, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg and Chairholder of the Jean Monnet Chair in EU Labour Law, edited the recently released Wolters Kluwer volume.
“In-Work Poverty in Europe: Vulnerable and Under-Represented Persons in a Comparative Perspective,” features research developed within the context of the Horizon2020 Working Yet Poor project, coordinated by Prof. Ratti.
In this work, contributors empirically define what it means to be “working poor” in Europe before comparing and analysing how legal regimes in seven EU Member States (Belgium, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Poland, and Sweden) handle the issue. The book is meant to serve as a tool to help both EU and national policymakers make informed decisions on how to mitigate this growing social concern.
