On 5 March 2024, the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF), comprising of Professor Kaspereit, the Communication department, its students, and represented by Professor Denise Fletcher, Head of the Research Committee, gathered to participate in the Ferrero Fellowship Ceremony 2024.

The event was hosted at Casa Ferrero, Ferrero’s corporate headquarters, and served as a platform to honour four FDEF students:

  • Emma Fanny INVERNIZZI – Master in Accounting & Audit
  • Paul KLEIN – Master in Finance & Economics
  • Helena MURATOVIC – Master in Accounting & Audit
  • Khady TOURE – Master in Finance & Economics

The cohort of Ferrero Fellows was selected from a large pool of applicants based on academic excellence, motivation and drive, as well as engagement and dedication to studies and extracurricular activities.

The event began with a guided tour of Casa Ferrero that was lead by Irena Siemienczuk, a member of the Recruitment Centre team. Casa Ferrero will serve as the starting point for each student’s internship in the spring of 2025.

Following the tour, Marion Bihouee, Recruitment Center Manager, extended a warm welcome to all attendees before inviting Luxembourg HR Director Filippo Busceti to the stage. Mr. Busceti shared insights into Ferrero’s history.

He went on to explain that Casa Ferrero, the new Headquarters which will celebrate its fifth anniversary, was constructed by incorporating Ferrero’s unique heritage and cultural background. The custom-built facility was designed to offer best working conditions and to promote a new approach to work, highlighting integration and performance. Mr. Busceti proudly showcased Ferrero’s remarkable growth, both in revenue and personnel, emphasizing Luxembourg’s significance as the centre of Ferrero’s central functions.

Mr. Busceti expressed his pride in the Ferrero Fellowship program, which has awarded 33 fellows since 2017, offering financial support and work experience.

Denise Fletcher, Full Professor of Entrepreneurship & Innovation and Head of Faculty Research Committee at the FDEF, further emphasized the 7-year relationship between the university and Ferrero, praising their shared commitment to nurturing young talents and bridging the gap between academic programs and the market. The union between the Faculty and Ferrero are both driven by the same pursuit of excellence: excellence in education for the Faculty and excellence in product for Ferrero. Professor Fletcher concluded her remarks by offering guidance and extending congratulations to the 2024 Fellows.

Ayoub Lemouissi and Anxhelino Todi, previous Ferrero Fellows and Master in Accounting and Audit graduates, shared their transformative journey within the company, reflecting on how their roles allowed them to perceive Ferrero’s products from a fresh perspective. They have been working as a French Islands Controller and a Discretionary Cash Flow Controller ever since they started their internships. They emphasized the culture of passion and excellence within Ferrero, affectionately referring to themselves as “Ferrerians”. Ayoub elaborated on how Ferrerians support and have faith in one another. Anxhelino highlighted that the fellowship encourages showcasing one’s abilities and personal growth, a feeling also shared by Ayoub. The graduates concluded by offering words of advice to the new Fellows as they prepared to embark on their new adventure and expressed gratitude to the University and Ferrero for their long-lasting partnership.

The highlight of the event was the presentation of the Ferrero Fellowship certificates and Casa Ferrero personalized Nutella jars, followed by a cocktail reception, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the talented recipients.
