We are pleased to congratulate Yuri Lan, a student in Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the University of Luxembourg, on being selected as one of the first recipients of the Look Up Now – in memoriam of Laure Belin research grant.
The newly established grant, funded by Véronique Degbomont, founder and CEO of Arpeggio Luxembourg S.à.r.l., supports Master’s students at the University of Luxembourg in conducting thesis research at the intersection of human behaviour and sustainability. It aims to encourage ambitious work in this emerging field and help students develop ideas with the potential to grow into a doctoral thesis.
Yuri’s Master’s research focuses on consumer willingness to pay for sustainable products — examining which features consumers value, and how much more they are prepared to spend for them. His findings aim to help companies design products that are both commercially viable and aligned with sustainable development. As Yuri sees it, market acceptance is ultimately what will drive businesses to make sustainability a lasting commitment.
Upon receiving the award, Yuri said:
‟ I am deeply honoured to be one of the first recipients of the Look Up Now grant. This award is especially meaningful because it carries the memory of Mrs. Laure Belin and reflects a commitment to supporting the future through research, responsibility, and sustainable transition.”
