Tianxiong Yu is a PhD researcher in Economics in the Department of Economics and Management. He holds a Master’s degree in Economics from the National Research University Higher School of Economics (Russia) and a Master’s degree in Quantitative Economics and Finance from the University of Luxembourg, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Management from East China Normal University (China).
His research studies data-driven group decision-making in socio-economic and political contexts, with a focus on the role of policymaking institutions in shaping, mitigating, or exacerbating economic insecurity. He examines institutional tradeoffs, including equity-efficiency, exploration-exploitation, and speed-accuracy.
