Quantum festivals, workshops and other initiatives

Science Festivals
Researchers, including Dr. Jeremy Hieulle, have participated in events like the Science Festival 2021, demonstrating quantum research to the public.
Educational Workshops
The Scienteens Lab offers workshops for high school students, covering topics such as renewable energy and quantum physics, fostering early interest in these fields.


Physics Olympiad
Prof. Thomas Schmidt co-organizes the Luxembourgish Physics Olympiad, encouraging high school students to engage with physics and related sciences.
Science Comics
The University publishes “LUX:plorations – A Universe of Research,” a science comic series featuring also stories on quantum physics, making complex topics accessible to the public


Public lectures
In celebration of the University’s 20th anniversary, Prof. Aurélia Chenu delivered a public lecture titled “Diving into the quantum world: from curiosity to applications,” introducing quantum concepts to a broad audience.
