Carol Martinez received her PhD degree in Robotics and Automation from the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid (Spain), in 2013. She is coming most recently from the PUJ-Bogotá (Colombia) where she has held a position of Assistant Professor. Previously, she had gained working experience as a Post-doctoral researcher and her area of expertise is the Application of Computer Vision for Automation (industry and health) and Robotics (aerial and industrial robots). Carol joined the Space Robotics Research Group, SpaceR, at SnT in 2020. Her current research focuses on perception for multi-purpose manipulation tasks for autonomous planetary and orbital robotics applications.
