About

‘LIFE – Lifeworlds, Identities, Framing Experiences’ is a digital platform for research, curation, and public engagement in the field of oral history. Rooted in the historical context of European borderlands and informed by psychological anthropology and narrative analysis, the project collects and interprets recorded life stories across linguistic, cultural, and political boundaries within the Greater Region. By combining audio and visual materials, LIFE sheds light on the complex interplay of identity, memory, and lived experience in transnational settings. The platform fosters critical reflection on how personal narratives are framed and mediated—both historically and digitally—through innovative workflows and collaborative methodologies. It aims to make oral histories accessible, interpretable, and reusable in both academic and public contexts.
