We’re thrilled to announce that our work has been honoured at the 2025 FNR Awards!
Prof. Andreas Fickers (C²DH), together with Prof. Sonja Kmec (Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences) and Prof. Dietmar Hüser (Saarbrücken University), received the Outstanding Scientific Achievement Award for their groundbreaking project “Transnational Popular Culture – Europe in the Long 1960s.”
This recognition celebrates their innovative approach to exploring how popular culture transcends linguistic and cultural boundaries. Their research not only shed new light on the circulation of cultural phenomena across Europe but also set a new benchmark for historical inquiry into these complex transnational processes.
We are deeply proud that the C²DH’s commitment to excellence in digital and public history has been acknowledged at such a prestigious level. Congratulations to the entire team for this remarkable achievement!
