Hosted by the Institute for Advanced Study in the Global South at Northwestern University in Qatar on 22 October, the panel entitled ‘Digital Public History in a Global Context’ will bring together C²DH researchers Thomas Cauvin and Frédéric Clavert, along with Mutanu Kyany’a, Head of Programs and Outreach at African Digital Heritage, for a moderated discussion on how digital technology—including the rise of artificial intelligence—invites historians and practitioners to rethink and reinvent their roles, as well as the role of publics, in the interpretation of the past. Drawing on examples from Europe and Africa, the panelists will explore the opportunities and challenges of developing public history in a global context.
