Call for Participation RESAW25 conference: The Datafied Web

The C²DH and the EHI team are pleased to announce their involvement in the organization of the upcoming RESAW conference, which will be held in 2025 at the University of Siegen. RESAW, a Research Infrastructure for the Study of Archived Web Materials, is a community established in 2012, aiming to promote a collaborative European research infrastructure for the study of archived web materials. 

The RESAW 2025 conference, scheduled for 5-6 June 2025, will focus on the theme: The Datafied Web. Submissions are open until 15 October 2024).

The local organizers at Siegen University, the CRC 1187 Media of Cooperation, is an interdisciplinary collaborative research center consisting of 17 projects and more than 60 researchers from various fields such as media studies, anthropology, ethnology, sociology, philosophy, German language and literature studies, computer sciences, education, jurisprudence, and engineering.

Within the CRC Media of Cooperation, the subproject A01 (Digitally Networked Media between Specialization and Universalization), led by Sebastian Gießman (University of Siegen) and Valérie Schafer (C²DH) as co-PI, is the main organizer of the RESAW conference. The RESAW conference is supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG) – Projektnummer 262.513.311 – SFB 1187 Medien der Kooperation, and the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR), [INTER/DFG/23/17960744/DIGMEDIA] through the INTER project the University of Siegen and the C²DH are conducting together.
