Sustainable Digital Innovation for Better Research

Digital Research Infrastructure

The Digital Research Infrastructure (DRI) brings together an interdisciplinary team working across multiple projects simultaneously, combining technical development, methodological design, and scholarly research. We collaborate with different research groups at the C²DH to turn research ideas into innovative and sustainable digital solutions. DRI functions as a shared infrastructure: methods, tools, and expertise circulate across projects and research areas to make historical research more accessible, transparent, and sustainable in the digital age.

Our goals

  • To provide clear frameworks that help researchers get started with digital projects and make informed decisions.
  • To support openly accessible and transparent historical research through digital methods, tools, and interfaces.
  • To ensure the long-term sustainability of digital scholarship by promoting best practice for data governance, reproducible workflows, and preservation strategies.
