Katrin Hussinger, Full Professor in Strategy and Organisation within the Department of Economics and Management at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance has recently published a teaching case about the Luxembourgish language service firm, FaustTranslations, which has recently changed its name to „DIE ÜBERSETZUNGSAGENTUR“.

The case was co-written with João N. Carvalho who is a master student at the Nova School of Business and Economics, Universidade Nova De Lisboa, Portugal, and was a summer student at the University of Luxembourg. The case solution was co-authored by FDEF master student Fjolla Syla.

Entitled “Developing a social media strategy for a small firm in the language service industry”, the case focused on whether and how a small business with many competitors can differentiate itself through the effective use of social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube and Linkedin. The authors prepared the case, which is targeted towards undergraduate business students, through interviews with the firm owner as well as publicly available material.

FaustTranslations, now „DIE ÜBERSETZUNGSAGENTUR“, presents an example of proactive firm that is not hesitant to introduce new products, services and technologies in line with the customer needs and the firm values. „DIE ÜBERSETZUNGSAGENTUR“ is a clear example of a firm that is able and willing to flexibly react to upcoming trends in their sector.

The case is available on website of The Case Centre, a not-for-profit organisation and repository for the world’s largest and most diverse collection of management cases, articles, book chapters and teaching materials.
