Luxembourg’s largest annual hackathon, Game of Code, is back. And this year, on 8th and 9th March at Forum Geesseknäppchen, you and your team of coders can test yourselves against challenges set by SnT partners Digital Luxembourg and SES.

Digital Luxembourg has teamed up with the National Library of Luxembourg to set coders the challenge of tackling their newly digitised historical news archives. Get stuck into this goldmine of untapped data – spanning XML metadata, full texts, segmentation details, page coordinates and high res images – and build new applications or tools aimed at getting new insights from old documents. Learn more about Digital Luxembourg’s challenge here.

Meanwhile for SES the sky is quite literally the limit: create an app, software or programme that mixes space technology with coding. From spectrum optimisation of traffic and satellite connectivity to planet exploration simulations, the only boundaries are those of space and your own creativity. Learn more about the SES challenge here.

To take part, put together a team of up to four people and sign up on the Game of Code homepage.

SnT members wanting to take part in the event should get in touch directly with the SnT communications team.
