    Transition énergétique: optimiser la recharge de voitures électriques

    La décarbonisation de la mobilité est une pièce angulaire d’une transition énergétique durable. Dans ce contexte, la Fondation Enovos, sous l’égide de la Fondation de Luxembourg, a soutenu le projet de recherche INDUCTIVE du Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) de l’Université du Luxembourg. Son but : Exploiter la flexibilité dans la recharge des voitures électriques afin d’optimiser la demande, notamment en chargeant les voitures en période de grande offre – surtout via une grande disponibilité en énergies renouvelables – sur les marchés de l’électricité.

    The eighth Information Security Education Day (ISED) took place on 2 June 2023 at the University of Luxembourg. The theme of this one-day event was “Social Engineering and Online Deception”. The event was co-organised by the University of Luxembourg (Department of Computer Science) and the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST). Author: Prof. Gabriele Lenzini, Head of the Sociotechnical Cybersecurity Interdisciplinary (IRiSC) research group at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT).

    SnT and FIRIS SA partner to inspect underground mines

    The University of Luxembourg’s Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) has entered a new partnership with FIRIS SA, a Luxembourgish company specialised in robotic-assisted 3D mapping services. The partnership between SnT’s Space Robotics (SpaceR) research group and FIRIS SA aims at exploring multi-robot technology for underground mine inspections on Earth. Ultimately, this robotic approach could one day be applied to inspecting lava tubes on the Moon.

    Next-Generation Industry Automation

    The conference “Applied Automation in Teaching and Development” (AALE) took place in March 2023 for the first time in Luxembourg, hosted by the Lycée des Arts et Métiers. The event was organised by the BTS Connected Buildings and Cities and the German association VFAALE e.V., which mainly represents universities of applied sciences in Germany. The theme of this 19th edition of the AALE conference was “Deploying Automation against Climate Change”.
