Professor of European law Herwig Hofmann has taken up a visiting professorship at Columbia Law School in New York where he will teach during the spring of 2018.
Currently on sabbatical leave from the University of Luxembourg, Prof. Hofmann will co-teach a seminar at one of the most prestigious law schools in the US as well as carrying out research on a comparative project in the field of regulation.
During his sabbatical, Prof. Hofmann is also working on finalising a book on the transformation of the EU’s economic constitution as well as researching decision-making procedures in EU public law. From September to February he held a visiting position at the European University Institute’s Robert Schuman Centre for European Affairs in Florence, Italy.
At the University of Luxembourg, he is one of the co-directors of the Robert Schuman Institute of European Affairs.
