Students from the Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation received a special welcome to the academic year 2018-2019 when they were hosted by the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce at its House of Entrepreneurship on 12 September.

The Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce helped found the Master in Entrepreneurship and Innovation  (MEI), which celebrated its 10th anniversary last year, and remains an important partner of the programme to this day. The partnership connects students with the Luxembourg business community and the local start-up ecosystem as well as the expertise and support offered by the Chamber in the field of business creation.

The welcome event at the House of Entrepreneurship, the Chamber’s one-stop-shop for new and established entrepreneurs in Luxembourg, proved an ideal opportunity for students to get their first taste of the start-up experience and the opportunities offered through the Chamber of Commerce.

Luc Henzig, Director of Training at the Chambre de Commerce, opened the session with an overview of the Chamber’s missions and the different initiatives put in place to encourage and promote entrepreneurship. With the MEI a diverse and international programme, students were also offered a first insight into the Luxembourg economy by Chamber of Commerce economist Jean-Baptise Nivet. The tour of the House of Entrepreneurship continued with a presentation of this one-stop-shop and its activities by Philippe Linster, Business Advisor. Finally, Stefan Berend, Head of Start-up Support at Luxinnovation, outlined the agency’s role as a partner for entrepreneurs and start-up founders and investors.

We would like to thank the Chamber of Commerce for their ongoing support and the organisation of this event, which was much appreciated by students and staff involved in the MEI alike.
