The Luxembourg Centre for Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LCL) added another member to its team with the appointment of Associate Professor Anne Lange in September.

Prior to joining the LCL, Associate Prof. Lange held an assistant professorship endowed by DB Schenker at Technische Universität Darmstadt. She obtained her doctorate from the University of Cologne, followed by post-doctoral positions at Eindhoven University of Technology as well as the University of Cologne.

Associate Prof. Lange’s research interests are in transportation, network analysis and supply chain finance. They encompass the empirical analysis of transportation networks and its application to complex supply chains in relation to risk management and financial decisions. Previous research in cooperation with industry included partners such as DB Schenker, DHL and Lufthansa Cargo.

Associate Prof. Lange joins the LCL shortly after the appointment of Associate Prof. Nils Löhndorf in May 2018. She will reinforce the teaching team of the Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management as well as joining a growing team of researchers in the field at the University of Luxembourg. The LCL also recently recruited its first doctoral candidate, Marvin Drent.

“We are very happy to welcome Anne to the LCL. We are building a strong team of researchers here in Luxembourg,” said the centre’s director, Prof. Benny Mantin. “The LCL has seen a lot of growth in its relatively young history. Together with Nils and Melvin recently, we have added some outstanding colleagues to our team and we look forward to working with them.”
