The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance on 12 December celebrated the graduation of its Master students, with a candidate from the Master in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (LSCM) winning the prestigious Prix Germain Dondelinger.
The inaugural cohort of the LSCM completed their studies during the summer, presenting their Master thesis projects to their peers, the LCL team and its industry partners at the LCL Research Fest on 28 June. During the Research Fest they were also presented with certificates of achievement by the LCL’s partner, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
During the University of Luxembourg’s Graduation Week 2018, the cohort were officially conferred their degrees and handed their diplomas.
Graduates and their families were welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Katalin Ligeti, as well as the University’s Rector, Prof. Stéphane Pallage, who congratulated the new alumni on their achievement.
The former Rector and President of the “Amis de l’Université du Luxembourg”, Prof. Rolf Tarrach, was present to award the “Prix Germain Dondelinger”, which is given to the student of each of the University’s three faculties who submitted the best Master thesis. The prize is awarded by the “Amis” in honour of Germain Dondelinger, one of Uni.lu’s founding fathers, who passed away in 2015.
This year’s winner for the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance was LSCM graduate Jérôme Schank for his Master thesis “Customer Profitability Analysis in Transportation Networks”.
The LCL would like to congratulate all its graduates on the successful completion of their studies and Jérôme Schank on the additional success of winning this prestigious award.
