LSF doctoral candidate Anna Ignashkina travelled to Stanford University for a workshop on delegated money management in November.

Ms Ignashkina was selected for the fully-funded workshop based on her application as one of 30 PhD candidates. Ms Ignashkina joined the LSF in 2017. Her research, under the supervision of Prof. Ulf von Lilienfeld-Toal focuses on the topics of asset pricing and real estate.

The workshop at Stanford Graduate School of Business was led by Prof. Jonathan Berk (Stanford GSB) and Prof. Jules van Binsbergen (Wharton School). It was aimed at helping students create research ideas and consistently apply the concept of “rational expectations equilibrium” (also known as “efficient market hypothesis”). This concept is used in research in many fields in financial economics.

The workshop brought opportunities for exchange with senior and junior academics. “This PhD Masterclass was very insightful and thought-provoking experience and provided many applicable takeaways for my research. I’m very happy to have been chosen from among the applicants and I am grateful LSF supported me in this project.”
