Celebrating Asteroid Day, Asteroid Foundation will host a special edition in 2023 – with the highlight being the Luxembourg Space Festival on 1 July at Tramsschapp, Luxembourg. The United Nations declared 30th June Asteroid Day as a global awareness campaign. Its mission is to inspire, engage and educate the public about asteroids opportunities and risks.
The Asteroid Day Festival on 1 July welcomes all members of the public and brings together the stakeholders involved in the space sector in Luxembourg and beyond, in addition to astronauts, engineers, and scientists. Participants can meet space experts and astronauts and engage in interactive space-themed workshops. The event offers interactive panels on asteroids, space missions, finance in space, data sonification and more.
Visitors will get the opportunity to have a first-hand research experience in workshops and at booths, learn more about asteroids, listen to space experts and astronauts.
