Three students in science receive the “Top Student Prize”

Dany Dos Santos Ramos, Laurence Lampecco and Julien Putz, respectively students in the Master en Sciences de l’Ingénieur – Efficacité Energétique et Economique (MEEE), Bachelor en Informatique (BINFO) and Master in Mathematics (MMATH), have recently been awarded the “Top Student Prize” by the University of Luxembourg for their excellent academic results.

The University of Luxembourg’s Top Student Prize is awarded every year since 2008 to nine of the best students within the University’s three faculties. From the Faculty of Science, Technology and Communication (FSTC), Dany, Laurence and Julien will have the opportunity to spend a three-week summer course in Asian studies at Sophia University in Tokyo. During this summer school, the students will learn the fundamentals of the Japanese language and discover all about Japanese society, history and culture.

They received the award from Prof. Stéphane Pallage, Rector of the University of Luxembourg and Takafumi Shibata, Second Secretary at the Embassy of Japan in Luxembourg.

In addition, 5 students from the Bachelor in Computer Science (BICS), 1 student from the Bachelor en Sciences de la Vie (BASV), 1 student from the Bachelor en Mathématiques (BASI-MATH) and 1 student from the Master in Information and Computer Sciences (MICS) were selected for the Global Exchange Programme to study one semester at one of the partner universities beyond Europe.
