    Cava EuroCodes: developing digital building data models

    The University of Luxembourg in cooperation with the University of Science and Technology Wrocław (Poland), the University of Applied Sciences Trier (Germany) and the University of Wuppertal (Germany) have recently launched the Erasmus+ project “Cava EuroCodes” which will focus on digitalization in construction and on computer-based design for structural elements.

    Manufacturing engineering team develops VSM standard at ISO level

    In the course of the FNR-funded Public-Private Partnership (PPP) research project « StreaM », carried out by the University of Luxembourg in close cooperation with the industrial partner EURO‑COMPOSITES S.A. and the Luxembourgish Institute of Standardization, Accreditation, Safety and Quality of Products and Services (ILNAS), the partners have made significant progress towards an ISO standard with regard to Value Stream Management (VSM).

    European Project WOW!: sewage is valuable

    The Interreg North-West Europe project WOW! – Wider business Opportunities for raw materials from Waste water – was recently launched with 12 partners from 6 countries, including the University of Luxembourg. WOW! aims to make the transition to a more circular approach by matching supply and demand of cellulose, lipids and bioplastics (PHA) from sewage.

    Kick-off meeting for PhD students in Physics and Materials Science

    The University of Luxembourg together with the Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) officially launched the Doctoral Programme in Physics and Materials Science (DPPM) on 23 February 2018 in Belval. This kick-off event was a great opportunity to gather 65 PhD students and scientists from the two institutions around scientific and recreational activities.
