After two successful events in 2018 and 2019, TEDxUniversityofLuxembourg is back with a new edition. In the week of 12-16 October 2020, TEDxUniversityofLuxembourg will be hosting 5 online evening sessions (from 18.30 to 20.00) with original talks and performances.
This year’s virtual-only event will be part of the global COUNTDOWN initiative launched by TED and Future Stewards to tackle the climate crisis, and is complementary to TED’s own online COUNTDOWN event on 10 October 2020.
The aim of our TEDx event is to identify engaging responses to the following questions:
Power: How rapidly can we move to 100% clean energy?
Built environment: How can we re-engineer the stuff that surrounds us?
Transport: How do we transform the ways we move?
Food: How can we spark a worldwide shift to healthier food systems?
Nature: How extensively can we re-green the earth?
Finance: How do we finance the transition towards a sustainable future?
Motivation: How do we motivate people to change their everyday behaviours so that they are in line with their own convictions?
14 speakers will be complemented by various musical artists, contributions from the
winners of the Youth Writing Competition and rector Stéphane Pallage, who will talk about the sustainability strategy of the University.
You can register through Eventbrite to get access to this compelling programme. Registration for this event is free of charge.
