The 25 November is the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women. From that day, the United Nations promote 16 days of activism against gender-based violence.

In support of this initiative, the University of Luxembourg is organising the Orange week, an awareness week under the auspices of the Ministry of Equal Opportunities, the National Council of Women of Luxembourg (Conseil National des Femmes du Luxembourg, CNFL) and Zonta International.

Activities will start on Monday 19 November and are closing with the Forum in the afternoon of Friday 23 November.

The Forum will take place at the Conference Hall of the Luxembourg Learning Centre, Campus Belval, on Friday 23 November, and will consist of two panels, one on violence against women and how to address it, and one on children and adolescents witnessing violence against women.
