Carols are sung each year to celebrate the festival of Christmas.
A Day for Dancing presents 9 carols which rehearse the story told in the Christmas lessons.
However, in keeping with their medieval heritage, these carols are intended to accompany dancing.
While vocal and choral music enables man to expand and heighten his verbal jubilation, the dance, through expressive movement, has always provided him with an added outlet for emotional release.
Performed by the University of Luxembourg Choir and the Music Ensemble ’Divertimento’ conducted by Julia Pruy
In lieu of admission charges, collection baskets will be passed around following each concert, with proceeds to be donated to Scenicae a.s.b.l.
The performance on December 18th is a Charity concert in collaboration with CARE Luxembourg.
