We are happy to inform you that IMISCOE, in cooperation with the Open University and the University of Luxembourg, will host its first online conference.

This conference will take place on July 1 and 2, 2020 and will give you the opportunity to meet virtually to learn about the latest migration research.

In response to the contemporary pandemic and its effects, the plenary topic will be: ‘Mobilities and Immobilities in Pandemic times’. The Keynote speakers, Biao Xiang, Professor of Social Anthropology,  and Anna Triandafyllidou, Professor of Sociology, will reflect on researching in, for and with migrants during the pandemic and what the current crisis means for our research field.

The online conference programme will feature the papers, panels and workshops that were already accepted for presentation. All those whose presentations have been accepted, will be invited to join the online conference (please note that ahead of your registration you need to fill out this google form before May 20, 2020). We also invite non-presenters to attend the conference (just register, you don’t have to fill out the google form).

Deadline for registration for the online-conference is June 15, 2020.
