During the 2019 graduation ceremony, seven Master graduates were honoured for their outstanding academic achievements. The Germain Dondelinger award was bestowed upon European Governance graduate Arnaud Van Laere. Awarded by the « Amis de l’Université » since 2015, the Germain Dondelinger Award honours the Faculty’s best Master’s thesis.
European Governance graduate Charel Koenig received an award from the “Fondation du Mérite Européen” for his dissertation on the role of the European Ambassadors. The “Fondation du Mérite Européen”, a non-profit organisation, recognises outstanding contributions to the achievements of the European ideals.
The Translating Cultures Prize is funded by donations from some of the external lecturers of the Master in Learning and Communication in Multilingual and Multicultural Contexts and honours the programme’s best graduates. This year the award was presented to Daniela Loghin and Veronika Lovrits.
André Linden and Philippe Moulin received the Charlemagne Youth for the best graduates in European Contemporary History. The award is funded by the European Charlemagne Youth Prize received in 2015 by the European Contemporary History students for their Twitter project on the First World War.
Master of Architecture graduate Dragos Ghioca received an award from the “Ordre des Architectes et des Ingénieurs-Conseils” (OAI). This new award which is part of an collaboration agreement between the University of Luxembourg and the OAI was given to Dragos for his excellent Master’s thesis project on the refurbishing of the “Halle des Soufflantes” on Belval Campus.
