German Urban Land and Housing in the Global Circulation of Capital
Bernd Belina (Goethe University Frankfurt)
Building on theorizations in the tradition of historical-geographical materialism and unpacking the “secondary circuit of capital”, the talk reconstructs how capital is circulating through urban land and housing in Germany. With a focus on the uneven development of this process, drivers, consequences and counter-strategies are discussed.
