Lunch Debate Series: ‘Can happiness redefine progress’

Isabel Sebastian, from MARS-UNI, will discuss Bhutan’s Gross National Happiness approach to pose the question:  Can progress be more than just growing the economy by focusing on happiness and well being of society and nature? Francesco Sarracino, from STATEC, will focus on Luxembourg bringing empirical evidences to argue that the quality of economic growth matters for people’s well-being, and that it is possible to establish a virtuous circle between durable improvements in well-being and prosperity.
