ABSTRACT
Heidegger is known as a major critic of metaphysics. However, between 1927 and 1930 he had not yet identified metaphysics with ontotheology. Instead, he searched for a new, phenomenologically inspired metaphysics that he called “metaphysic of Dasein”, “metaphysics of existence” or “metaphysics of freedom”. The notion of “world” is of particular importance in this approach. However, what exactly is a “metaphysics of Dasein”? Which notion of the world is implied, and how is it different from the notion of the world in Being and Time?
